Since
June 2018, we have Bielefelder Zwergkennhühner. We bought the chicks with about 10 weeks. They started laying eggs around Christmas 2018  and are laying about 8-14 eggs per week now. The eggs have a very dark-yellow yolk and are super delicous. They seem to like their chicken coop, run and our garden.

One of the hens didn’t manage a very strong heat wave during the summer of 2019 and had to be put out of its misery. The other two became prey for a fox during winter 2020 when a neighbor took care of our chicken and ducks 🙁
